from the atelier

A small, slow studio

Everything begins on the hook

No factory, no pattern printed a thousand times. Every charm, clip and bag is crocheted stitch by stitch, in small runs.

So pieces differ a little: a heart that sits fuller, a bow with a longer tail. Those are the marks of a hand.

Looking after your piece

Washing
Spot clean where you can. If more is needed, hand wash in cool water with a little gentle detergent, press the water out without wringing, reshape, and dry flat away from direct sun.
Keeping its shape
Crochet relaxes with use. Reshape a bag or bow with your hands while damp and it settles back. Store bags stuffed lightly with tissue rather than folded flat.
Pilling and snags
Chenille can pill a little. Trim pills with small scissors, never pull them. Ease a snagged stitch back through with a blunt needle rather than cutting.
